Most images in a configurable product will change depending on the user’s selection. However, you may sometimes want to use “static” images which are not affected by a user’s choice. This can for example be drop shadows, or elements common to all configurations, etc…
How to setup static images?
- Add a new layer (e.g. “shadow”)
- In the layer properties, enable “This layer does not have choices”.
- In the Content section, go to the newly added layer content, and add a choice.
- Add the image to that choice.
- You may need to reorder the layers in order for that image to be in the right position.
